Aids to Navigation Program

The Canadian Coast Guard, Aids to Navigation program is part of the Navigation Systems branch which consists of one other major program Waterways Development.

Program Mission and Responsibilities

To manage, maintain, and provide aids to navigation in Canadian waters in order to facilitate safe and expeditious movement of maritime traffic to protect the marine and freshwater environment, maintain maritime safety and to facilitate maritime commerce and ocean development. Aids to Navigation consist of the following:
