Mission & Objectives

CCG’s CRIA office maintains and builds new relationships with international organizations and associations. CRIA provides a strategic focal point to manage and advance Canadian and Coast Guard global objectives. CRIA’s mission is to plan and co-ordinate the CCG’s international activities and commitments, including the following:

  • Providing single-window service and assistance to international organizations, countries and maritime safety agencies
  • Promoting awareness of CCG international initiatives and achievements
  • Coordinating and representing CCG at international meetings and special events
  • Providing advice and support to CCG management on international initiatives
  • Developing international priorities and plans
  • Hosting and arranging visits by foreign officials and delegations
  • Managing CCG international travel
  • Liaising with government departments on international initiatives and activities
