Interest rates set for Alberta Savings Certificates/Capital Bonds

Alberta Savings Certificates and Alberta Capital Bonds rates have been set for the interest period June 1, 1998 to November 30, 1998.

Rates for the redeemable certificates/bonds are:

• 1997 floating rate certificates will pay 4.5 per cent
• 1996 floating rate certificates will pay 4.5 per cent
• 1995 bonds will pay 4.5 per cent
• 1994 bonds will pay 4.5 per cent.

Rates for the non-redeemable certificates continue to be:

• 1997 non-redeemable certificates will pay 5.125 per cent
• 1996 non-redeemable certificates will pay 6.375 per cent.
