Government of Alberta Releases 1999-2000 Annual Reports

The 1999-2000 Annual Reports of the Alberta Government were released today. The reports from the 18 ministries allow Albertans a firsthand opportunity to see how their tax dollars are working.

Each Annual Report includes an accounting of performance targets and outcomes as well as financial information.

The Annual Reports of each ministry is a requirement of the Government Accountability Act. The Act was designed in 1998 to improve overall public accountability and allow Albertans greater opportunity to explore what government is doing.

The reports are available from each ministry and online at www.gov.ab.ca.
