19 Wing Comox offers a variety of programs, services and activities for serving and retired members and their families.

The 19 Wing Fitness Centre, which was built in 2000, is the home of the Fitness, Sports & Recreation services, the Comox Military Family Resource Centre and the Wallace Gardens Community Association (PMQ’s). The fitness centre offers fun for the whole family including a weight room, cardio room, aerobics room, squash courts and gym as well as a variety of programs including Red Cross Swimming lessons, family and lane swim times, fitness classes and more. Among the other facilities, you will find are a 500-seat arena, tennis courts, an 18-hole golf course, Tee Pee Park Campground and beach area. When it comes to recreation, sailing and golfing are among the most active clubs on the base, but you'll also find a host of other programs offered at 19 Wing administered by Personnel Support Program (PSP) staff.

The Comox Military Family Resource Centre provides a wide range of services to enhance the quality of life of Military Members and their families. These services include Information and Referral / Welcoming, Children and Youth, Employment and Education, Counseling, Family Separation & Reunion and Emergency Childcare, French, Second Language Training, Volunteer and Quality of Life. The Centre also hosts several special events each year to give Members and their families a chance to learn about their community, meet new people or just have some fun. September kicks off the new posting season with Rexspo / Family Carnival (in conjunction with FS& R and Wallace Gardens Assoc.), November is for the Ladies with Spa Night, December brings Christmas cheer with the Christmas Open House, February is the 19 Wing Career Fair and May is for decadent treats at the Cheesecake Bake-Off.

Located at historic 19 Wing, the Comox Air Force Museum (AFM) contains more memorabilia, artifacts and heritage than any other military museum in Canada. The museum chronicles the history of Canadian military aviation in its evolution from the Royal Flying Corps to Air Command of the Canadian Forces.

With its year-round mild climate and selection of beaches, mountains, rivers and trails, Comox Valley is known as the "recreation capital of Canada. A 45-minute drive from the base you will find skiing and other outdoor recreational opportunities at Mount Washington.

Throughout the Comox Valley, there exist opportunities for fishing, hunting, hiking and a host of other outdoor activities. The region also offers a wide variety of museums, galleries, service clubs and youth organizations.
19 Wing Comox hosts a biannual Air Show, normally held in July, which attracts visitors from all over the world. It offers visitors a chance to see the variety of jobs and duties performed at the Wing as well as a chance to see aircraft from all over the world.
