Steven Reynolds appointed to the Standards Council of Canada Print

The Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for the Standards Council of Canada (SCC), today appointed Mr. Steven Reynolds as a member of the Council.

“I am very pleased to welcome Mr. Reynolds to the SCC, and we look forward to his contribution to the Board,” said Minister Bernier. “There is no doubt that his insights and experience will be very valuable in helping to guide the SCC in the years ahead.”

Mr. Reynolds has been Engineering Manager with The Peelle Company Ltd. of Brampton, Ontario, since 1994. The company specializes in elevator design codes and standards.

Mr. Reynolds holds a Professional Engineer accreditation from Professional Engineers Ontario. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers — Codes and Standards, the Canadian Standards Association and the National Fire Prevention Association. 

The Standards Council of Canada is a Crown corporation with the mandate to promote efficient and effective standardization in Canada.
