About Us

Trade Team Canada - Aerospace and Defence (TTC-A&D;) is composed of representatives from both public and private sectors dedicated to international trade promotion and global market development in the aerospace and defence industry. It is a partnership between government, private firms and aerospace associations. Major partners are Industry Canada (Aerospace, Defence and Marine Branch - ADMB), International Trade Canada, Aerospace Industries Association of Canada, Canadian Defence Industry Association, Ontario Aerospace Council, and the Quebec Aerospace Association. Industry Canada (AAB) provides secretariat services to the team. TTC-A&D; is chaired by Leah Clark and Peter Boag.

The Trade Team concept aims to provide a central forum where all interested parties can share information and cooperate to support the sector.

The role of Trade Team Canada - Aerospace and Defence consists of the following:

• Coordinate international trade initiatives
• Enhance export capability and preparedness
• Contribute to the policy direction, and to the Canadian International Business Strategy
• Underpin Canadian presence at international trade events
• Provide networking and introduction opportunities for Canadian companies
• Gather and disseminate market intelligence and information
• Develop and analyze market potential and interest and identify new opportunities
• Disseminate information to trade partners through our MI/I initiatives and studies through the website

Trade Team Canada - Aerospace and Defence offers the following:

• Forum for reaching broadest spectrum of organizations interested in the Aerospace and Defence sector
• Marketing support for promotion of the sector (Recent products include the ID ROM, KPMG study on aerospace and defence, bookmarks and brochures)
• Source of information on Canadian industry through access to other members of the AAB team, trade associations and provinces
• Access to the Market Information and Intelligence database developed through previous trade events
• Support through the Secretariat in coordinating initiatives and activities into your region
• Source of feedback with regard to company interests and views regarding specific markets and opportunities
• Limited funding to support major products. Organizational support where direct funding is not available

The Trade Team Canada - Aerospace and Defence website will facilitate the exchange of intelligence, and market information relevant to the aerospace and defence industry. It will be available through the use of a password to TTC- A&D; members while the general public will be afforded access to certain areas of the site.
