Computers for Schools thanks Microsoft Canada for its donation of the license for the Windows operating system installed on its computers.

In conjunction with Industry Canada and a host of different companies, Microsoft Canada is donating software, operating systems and technology equipment to be recycled and used with retired computer technology and equipment donated by members of the public, private and volunteer sectors. The refurbished equipment will go to Canadian schools.

Bell Canada

Bell Canada supports many programs which focus on education and youth including: SchoolNet, the Great Canadian Geography Challenge, Expo Science, the Chemistry and Physics Olympiad, and the Youth Science Foundation. BellCanada also supports the National History Awards for teachers. In addition, Bell Canada invests over $3 million per year to support research at universities in Ontario and Quebec for a total of more than $5.1 million dedicated to the field of education annually.  

British High Commission

The British High Commission is happy to be associated with the Computers for Schools program. First established in Ottawa in 1928, our mission is to represent the British Government in Canada and to promote and support closer links between our two countries. Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS)

CIPS is Canada's largest association of IT professionals and will support CFS by providing links and information on how to donate a surplus computer on its web site and to its members. They will also respond to technology career questions from students throughout Canada via their Teens-Ask-CIPS on-line mentoring program.

Canadian National : North America’s Railroad

CN provides rail and intermodal freight transportation services over a16,000 route miles network that spans Canada and the central United States. It is the only railroad in North America to cross the continent east-west and north-south, serving ports on the Atlantic, Pacific and Gulf coasts. Through its alliance with Kansas City Southern, CN customers have access to all three NAFTA nations. This service links points across Canada with major markets in the United States and with Mexico’s largest rail network – Transportacion Ferroviaria Mexicana S.A. de C.V. (Grupo TFM). CN moves a diversified and balanced portfolio of goods, including petroleum and chemicals, grain and fertilizers, coal, metals and minerals, forest products, intermodal containers as well as automotive products (cars and car parts). . It provides shippers with more options and greater reach in the rapidly expanding market for north-south trade. The company employs 22,000 people, both in Canada and in US. CN is investor owned. Its stock trades on the New York and Toronto stock exchanges. Corporate headquarters are located in Montreal, Quebec.

ergoCentric Seating Systems is a Canadian owned and operated company and proud national sponsor of all ergonomic seating to Computers for Schools.

Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC)

ITAC is the voice of the Canadian information technology industry. Together with its partner organizations across the country, the association represents 1,300 companies in the computing and telecommunications hardware, software, services, and electronic content sectors. This network of companies accounts for more than 70% of the 512,000 jobs, $116.4 billion in revenue, $4.4 billion in R&D expenditure and $30.8 billion in exports that IT contributes annually to the Canadian economy.

ITAC's mission is to identify and lead on issues that affect our industry and to advocate initiatives, which will enable its continued growth and development.

Ottawa Central Railway

Ottawa Central Railway is located in Ottawa, Ontario and has been in operation since December 1998. OCR accesses a full-service reload facility in Ottawa operated by Rideau Bulk Terminal. Its goal is to offer a dependable full line service to various industries. OCR is a proud supporter of the Computers for Schools Program.
