Graduation of China, Mexico and Russia from the List of Countries Eligible for Support under CIDA's Industrial Cooperation Program

Minister Verner has approved the graduation of China, Mexico and Russia from the list of countries eligible for support under CIDA's Industrial Cooperation Program (CIDA-INC). Commitments to CIDA-INC projects already approved will be honoured, and proposals that have been received by CIDA will be reviewed according to established procedure.
Firms that have already discussed a project with CIDA-INC staff and those that have submitted a concept paper must submit their formal proposal on or before December 26, 2006. CIDA-INC projects approved for those countries must have a termination date no later than December 31, 2008. Proposals received after December 26 will not be considered.

CIDA-INC will continue to concentrate its efforts and resources in assisting countries that find it difficult to attract foreign direct investment. This measure does not affect other programs in Canadian Partnership Branch or elsewhere in CIDA.
