Who it's for

The Spectrum Direct site has been designed for two principal audiences:

• Industry Canada clients applying for radiocommunication licences (for the first release, this site is geared specifically toward clients applying for microwave licences); and
• clients, and members of the general public seeking to search the Industry Canada Assignment and Licensing System (ALS) database.

This audience can include managers, business owners, engineering and technical staff, clerical staff, and many other groups. Therefore, the information in this help file, while often technical in nature, has been written in an accessible manner suited to the diversity of the audience. Notwithstanding that, it is assumed that people visiting this site have a moderate level of knowledge and experience with radiocommunication principles and terminology.
