About The Research Forum
The Voluntary Codes Research Forum is an online discussion group (also known as a "listserv") facilitated by the Office of Consumer Affairs, Industry Canada. Some have described such forums as electronic versions of conferences and journals. Others have said that listservs are much like a subscription magazine, only the "contributors" are the subscribers themselves, and the "issues" that are delivered to you are the email messages of others. Participants can ask questions, carry on debates, or post information of general interest to the "community"
Some Rules
Postings are not screened for suitability, so all participants are under an obligation to exercise good judgment, make sure that postings are relevant, well-considered and not offensive. A general rule is don't post anything you wouldn't be prepared to defend in a face to face public discussion.
