Notice concerning searches of the Public Registry

Please take note that, for an interim period, you may need to search successively the new and the old data banks to do a complete search of the Public Registry. The new data bank contains the most recent information about the registrations that were either active or terminated between January 20, 2005 and June 20, 2005, as well as all new registrations filed thereafter.

The old data bank provides the status of registrations before June 20, 2005, the day on which the amendments to the Lobbyists Registration Act came into force. Because only the new data bank is updated, it is possible that you could find different results when searching both data banks. For example, the old data bank could show that a registration is active, but it could appear terminated in the new data bank. This could be because the termination occurred either during the transition period (June 9 to 20, 2005) or after June 20, 2005. In such cases, please note that the new data bank provides the most current information.

  After selecting the link above, click on the "Search and Browse Public Registry" link.
• Public Registry - Prior to January 20, 2005
  
  The Public Registry can be searched from the name of the legislative proposal, bill, regulation, policy or program, grant or contribution, the last name of the lobbyist, the name of the firm, company or organization, or from the effective registration date.
• Reports from the Public Registry
  
  Reports can be generated from the Public Registry from a list of pre-defined reports of all lobbyists, government departments or agencies, and by geographic location.
• Recent Registrations
  
  List of the new registrations, amendments and terminations processed within the past 30 days.
