On-line Forms

Summary of On-line Forms

The Form

Forms for each type of submission are accessed through an instruction page. Once you have filled in the form, the system validates the mandatory fields. These mandatory requirements must be met before the process continues. Once the process is completed you will see either a transmission notice or a receipt. Either of these may be kept as a record of your transaction.

Patents

On-line Forms include filing new applications, requests for national entry phase, assignments, licences, general correspondence, payment of fees, agent renewal and ordering copies of patent documents. Patent submissions are to be accompanied by PDF or TIF files. Sequence listings have to be provided in both a multi-page TIF or PDF file and in an ASCII file. At this time, the processes of agent renewal and ordering of copies of patent documents are not performed in a secure environment.

Trade-marks

Trade-mark applications may be filed on-line by individual applicants or agents. Submissions are loaded into the Intrepid II database automatically and an acknowledgment and client proof sheet are automatically generated and returned to the client. For design marks, the design must be submitted in TIF format. There are certain minimum system and browser requirements explained in the instruction sheet. In addition, the Trade-marks Office will provide technical and business information, should you require assistance with your setup.
