This multimedia tool is designed to inform Canadian businesses and consumers about multi-level marketing and pyramid selling. It includes three presentations that provide slides with text dialogue.

Canadian Consumer Information Gateway — Guided Tour

The Canadian Consumer Information Gateway is an award-winning Web portal to trustworthy consumer information and services offered by Canada's governments and non-governmental organizations. It involves more than 35 federal government departments and agencies, and more than 250 provincial and territorial partners that are interested in improving public access to consumer information services. First time visitors to the website may wish to take this multimedia tour to find out more about the information and services available. Requires Flash Player 6.

Information Highway Application Programs

Community Access Program (CAP) — Download Centre

The Community Access Program (CAP) provides Canadians with affordable public access to the Internet and helps hone the skills needed to use it effectively. The CAP Download Centre provides images for use on websites, or for the development of promotional materials, signs, posters, and screen savers. A five-minute CAP video is also available in RealPlayer and text formats.

Computers for Schools (CFS) Virtual Tour

The Computers for Schools (CFS) program collects, repairs and refurbishes donated surplus computers from government and private sector sources and distributes them free to schools and libraries throughout Canada. The Newsroom includes promotional videos with information about the program and how it is benefiting communities across Canada. There is also a Virtual Workshop Tour that allows users to explore the CFS workshops located throughout the country and see how the computers reach the classrooms. Available in Windows Media Player format.

Communications Research Centre Canada (CRC) — CRC Multimedia Video

The Communications Research Centre Canada (CRC) is an agency of Industry Canada whose mission is to be the federal government's centre of excellence for communications R&D, ensuring an independent source of advice for public policy purposes. Communications Research Centre Canada (CRC) — VirtualClassroom Creations

The VirtualClassroom program provides an electronic meeting place for learners worldwide to encourage and assess learning through technology. With projects ranging from multimedia animation to software development, VirtualClassroom Creations showcases exciting products developed by students in the VirtualClassroom Community. Strategis — Webcast Menu

Spectrum Management and Telecommunications — Cutting Through … Radio Interference

This video provides examples of picture and sound interference problems that can occur and may enable you to identify sources of interference and correct the problems yourself. Requires RealPlayer Basic Version 8 to view the presentation.

Spectrum Management and Telecommunications — Let's Talk Towers

This video and accompanying pamphlet were developed to address concerns relating to the construction of radiocommunication antenna towers and associated facilities. Requires RealPlayer Basic Version 8 to view the presentation.

Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) — Video

The Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) is an independent corporation established by the Government of Canada in 1997. The Foundation's goal is to strengthen the capability of Canadian universities, colleges, research hospitals, and other not-for-profit institutions to carry out world-class research and technology development. Canadian Space Agency

The mandate of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) is to promote the peaceful use and development of space, to advance the knowledge of space through science and to ensure that space science and technology provide social and economic benefits for Canadians.

Virtual Tours of RADARSAT Facilities

Take a virtual tour of the RADARSAT facilities by visiting the Mission Control Centre and the Mission Management Office. The tour loads a 365-KB JPG image and a 16-KB JAVA applet.

The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) was created in 1995 to promote Canadian tourism by marketing Canada as a desirable travel destination and providing information to the Canadian tourism industry to assist in its decision making.

Everything Under the Canadian Sun

Statistics Canada collects, compiles, analyses, abstracts and publishes statistical information relating to the commercial, industrial, financial, social, economic and general activities and conditions of the people of Canada. The Everything under the Canadian sun presentation is a three-minute introduction to Learning Resources — a Statistics Canada website that provides free online learning resources to teachers and students.
