Background
In late May, Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, along with the Assembly of First Nations, announced that an independent panel of experts will explore options for regulating drinking-water quality in First Nations communities. The panel, part of a larger action plan to improve the quality of drinking water, will hold public hearings across Canada this summer.
