Sketch Map of North Slave Region
The traditional
territory of the Dogrib First Nation is primarily within the North Slave
region of the Northwest Territories. The "Dogrib settlement area" has
not been defined yet. This sketch map of the North Slave region is for
illustrative purposes only.
The boundary lines
of Nunavut and the Sahtu Settlement Area are already set in law.
For the purpose
of finalizing the boundary line between the Dogrib settlement area and
- the Deh Cho region,
the Dogrib Treaty 11 Council will meet with the Deh Cho First Nations;
and
- the South Slave
region, the Dogrib Treaty 11 Council will meet with the Yellowknives
Dene and other NWT Treaty 8 First Nations.
