Arrival And Check-In

  • Parking lots are located in close proximity to the Airport Terminal Building and offer designated parking spaces for people with disabilities. These spaces are closest to the Terminal Building and the various crosswalks.
  • Designated curbside areas are available for dropping off passengers with disabilities.
  • Airport Terminal Building entrances are equipped with automated doors.
  • Lowered check-in ticket counter ledges have been incorporated into the counters for wheelchair accessibility.

Personal Assistance

  • Commissionaires are located throughout the Airport Terminal Building and are available to assist passengers if required. They provide site security services, offer directions, can identify locations of TTY telephones, assist with obtaining wheelchairs, provide escort through the Air Terminal Building, etc.
  • The Airport Terminal Building has Red Coat Volunteers which are stationed at the Information Desk located in the Arrivals area, and are easily identified by a bright red coat. They are available to offer assistance or locate a Commissionaire if required.

TTY Phones

  • The Airport Terminal Building is equipped with one TTY phone located in the Arrivals area.
  • All telephones have heightened transmission capabilities for the hearing impaired.

Wayfinding

  • The Airport Terminal Building is equipped with large signage with contrasting colours.

Relieving Areas For Service Animals

  • There are no specific areas designated as relieving areas for service animals, however, there are various grass areas located directly outside the Airport Terminal Building.

Washrooms

  • Washrooms are equipped with accessible features such as wheelchair accessible stalls equipped with support bars and emergency call buttons/alarms, paper towel dispensers and waste receptacles at appropriate heights for wheelchair accessibility and Braille signage.
  • Washrooms are located in all passenger service areas of the Airport Terminal Building, such as the Departures Check-In, Passenger Waiting, Customs, and Arrivals areas.
