The Consulate opened its doors on August 16, 2004, as part of the Canadian Government's continuing effort to increase Canada's presence in the United States, and to expand bilateral trade and economic relations. The Canadian Consulate in Anchorage is a satellite of the Consulate General of Canada in Seattle, Washington.
