How do I licence my boat and trailer?

Since April 1, 2006 Service Canada delivers Pleasure Craft Licensing at all of their offices across Canada.

For the location nearest you, visit Service Canada or call 1 800 O-Canada (1 800 622-6232).  Trailers are registered through your provincial or territorial transportation office.

Who is responsible for ship inspection?

Transport Canada's Marine Safety Directorate is responsible for regulating marine transportation and the inspection of foreign and domestic vessels in Canadian waters. For more information, call (613) 991- 3137.
