An Intelligent Transportation Systems Plan for Canada:
En Route to Intelligent Mobility

Transport Canada’s Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Plan was released in November 1999 and presents the federal government’s plan to stimulate the development and deployment of intelligent transportation systems in Canada.

The ITS plan provides the leadership and support necessary to advance the application and compatibility of ITS technologies to make Canada’s transportation system safe, integrated, efficient and sustainable.
