Welcome to the Transport Canada
Web Service Difficulty Reporting System
(WSDRS)

Requests from the aviation industry in Canada for an Internet based Service Difficulty Reporting (SDR) program have resulted in the development of this site.

This site is mainly for use by owners, operators, maintainers and manufacturers of Canadian registered aeronautical products or products for which Canada is the Country of Type Design responsibility.
Visitors to the site are welcome to utilize the "Quick Query" function.

Registered users can utilize this site to:

        Submit SDRs
        Query the SDR database
        Track and store submitted SDRs
        Update previously submitted SDRs
Check status updates on Canadian SDRs

Fast, Convenient, Confidential

Non-registered visitors to this site can search the SDR database using the "Quick Query" links found on the WSDRS homepage.

SDR submission and advanced search capability requires the user to register with Transport Canada.

WSDRS registration is accomplished as follows:

Quick Registration: Canadian Aviation Document Holders
Other Registration: Persons not holding a Canadian Aviation Document

Confidentiality:

This program has been designed to ensure information pertaining to the submitter's identity remains confidential. Submitter information and any personal or company references contained within SDRs released to the public will not be displayed or made available unless required to do so by law.

It is important to stress that the overall objective of the SDR program is to use the reported information to improve the level of flight safety and not to assign fault or apportion blame. SDRs will not be made available for query engine search prior to review by TC.
