The Canadian Foreign Service Institute (CFSI), part of the Department of
Foreign Affairs and International Trade, is an organization whose primary role is
providing learning tools designed to foster more effective international relations. The
Institute was established by the Government of Canada in 1992 to provide the specialized
training needed by Canadians if we are to continue occupying a significant place on the
international stage.
International players cannot afford to be less informed than their competitors or to make
cultural miscues. Our clients avoid these pitfalls by taking advantage of the Institute's wide range of services to develop
their skills and expertise.
The CFSI gives people the chance to acquire practical knowledge and skills for living and
working on assignments abroad, be they in Boston or Beijing. We work with other teaching
and training establishments in order to better meet the specific needs of each client.
