Northwest Territories District OfficesDIAND divides the NWT into two districts, which are further divided into sub-districts. Where there are settled land claims, the districts are adjusted to correspond with the boundaries of the settlement areas as defined in the appropriate land claim agreement. DIAND district inspectors are responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and the terms and conditions in authorizations that are issued by DIAND's Land Administration and the various land and water boards.
