Hyperlink to Petroleum Development Division SID Viewer is DIAND-NWT?s Spatially Integrated Dataset. The dataset holds Spatial Information for DIAND. It contains spatial, digital data that is maintained by DIAND as well as several datasets prepared by others that are useful to DIAND users. NORMIN stores geological information about mineral showings in the NWT and contains references to exploration and geology of the NWT.
Guide to Mineral Exploration and Development in the Northwest Territories which contains essential information on virtually every legislated requirement that is associated with the mining industry and provides links to key pieces of legislation affecting mineral development.

Guide to Legislation Affecting Mineral Development

A cross referenced index/database of legislation and mineral activities. Includes advice on legislation and regulation and information about contacts, permits and licences. Website in development. Expected to be launched later in 2004.

SID Viewer

Access the department's spatially integrated dataset, so you can view current data on mineral claims in the NWT and Nunavut; research geographical data online and produce customized maps using GIS information with specific focuses such as minerals, land claims areas, etc.
