Welcome to the Coordination and Policy Advice Branch, Ontario Region!

We have two main responsibilities:

  • providing Ottawa with regional information and analysis on Ontario’s transportation system in support of the department’s policy and legislative agenda. This requires direct liaison with the province, carriers (for example, railways, marine and truckers, etc), travelers, shippers and transit providers, among many others

  • the development of Transport Canada’s regional business plan and strategic priorities, in support of the modal functions (Civil Aviation, Surface and Marine)
Coordination also participates in and / or initiates intergovernmental and Canada-U.S. transboundary projects and undertakings to improve efficiency within the transportation system.
