Testimonials

Martine Dagenais

I compare my Bureau experience with a nice long trip which is never monotonous and where my travelling companions are very pleasant. One day, you can analyse and understand trends of the financial sector while the next day, you have the opportunity to be responsible for a project in the petroleum market. In addition, in order to understand the ins and outs of a sector, you will meet and conduct interviews with stakeholders ranging from the leaders of multinational companies to affected consumers.

In fact, what I like the most about my job is the fact that we deal with subjects and concrete issues having a direct impact on the competitiveness of the Canadian economy. Employees are challenged on a regular basis given the trust that managers have in them.

The Bureau plays an important role in maintaining and enhancing a fair and efficient marketplace for the benefit of all Canadians, and it is rewarding to know that I am contributing to this mandate by fulfilling the responsibilities that are entrusted to me. Each and every file assigned to an officer is unique in its own way and, quite often, will vary greatly according to the industry, stakeholders, scope, etc. This allows for the work to remain interesting and for the acquisition of knowledge to continue in perpetuity.

Frédérick Lavertu

The Bureau is a work environment like no other. The Bureau has offered me a number of opportunities to further develop a very diverse sets of skills and abilities, which makes the work very motivating. Work at the Bureau presents highly interesting challenges.
