Privacy Policy

Transport Canada is committed to respecting the personal privacy of individuals who visit our Web sites. This section summarizes the privacy policy and practices of Transport Canada Web sites.

• Transport Canada does not automatically gather any information from you, such as your name, phone number, e-mail or street address during your visit to its Web sites. • Transport Canada (TC) uses software that receives and records the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of computers that have connected with its Web sites. In such instances, TC makes no attempt to link these addresses with the identity of individuals visiting TC sites.
• Non-identifiable information may be collected for audit and statistical purposes.
• Visitor information is not disclosed to anyone except Transport Canada personnel who need the information, e.g., to respond to a request.
• Transport Canada does not use 'Cookies' to track how visitors use our Web site. Transport Canada does use temporary 'Cookies' to facilitate your transactions. These 'Cookies' are meaningless session identification numbers that exist in your browser's temporary memory only and are deleted when you close your browser. Some functions on the Transport Canada Web site will not work properly if you disable all Cookies.
