Civil Aviation Inspector

Group & Level: AO-CAI-02 and AO-CAI-03

Language requirements: Various

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must fully demonstrate in their application that they meet all of the minimum qualifications.

Education:

Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Occupational Certification:

  • Possession of a valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) with Group I instrument rating, OR possession of a valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence (Helicopter) with Group IV rating

  • Possesion of a valid Restricted Radio Telephone Operator Certificate (endorsed Aeronautical).

Experience

  • A minimum total of 3000 flying hours
  • A minimum of 1000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC)
  • Other experience requirements will be determined based on the specific position being staffed.

Preference will be given to Canadian citizens.
