In recognition of Diabetes Awareness Month and World Diabetes Day (November 14), the National Aboriginal Health Organization (NAHO) has assembled a number of resources on diabetes awareness, prevention and management. These resources can all be found on the Aboriginal Peoples page of the Canadian Health Network (CHN).

For more information on diabetes and Aboriginal Peoples, as well as links to other diabetes organizations, click here for a CHN Quick Search result.

The CHN is a national, bilingual, Web-based health promotion program with the goal of helping Canadians find the information they are looking for on how to stay healthy and prevent disease and injury. Since 2005, NAHO has been the Aboriginal Peoples Affiliate of the CHN.

Established by the International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organization, World Diabetes Day aims to raise awareness of diabetes throughout the world. This year’s theme is “Diabetes care for everyone.”

The National Aboriginal Health Organization (NAHO) gratefully acknowledges the core funding support of Health Canada.

NAHO is proud to be the Aboriginal Peoples
affiliate for the Canadian Health Network (CHN).
