The Objective of the National Aboriginal Lands Managers Association (NALMA)
is to provide a working environment which will be comfortable to all First
Nations Lands Managers, to network between each other on land related issues,
and at the same time create a system that will assist First Nations interests in
various land management functions.
Mission StatementA National Organization of First Nation Lands Managers which will actively network towards the enhancement of professional development and technical expertise in the functions of Land Management and which will also incorporate First Nations values and beliefs in Land Management always keeping in mind the grass-root practices when dealing with land management.
Regional Lands AssociationsNALMA is governed by a Board of eight (8) Directors, each representing their respective Regional Lands Association. The membership is made up of the Regional Lands Association and such other eligible persons or Associations as admitted by resolution of the Board. The Regional Lands Associations are independent regional or territorial associations, alliance, society or group established by Lands Managers and recognized by the Associations.
