Silcox's presentation notes Canadian Conference of the Arts national conference on the status of the artist - November 2004The Conference, held on November 18-20, 2004 in Regina, brought together members of the arts and culture community to discuss how to move forward on the issue of the status of the artist. The Conference helped to raise awareness of status of the artist initiatives in effect or in development across the country and to foster discussion on future priorities. CAPPRT offered an educational presentation about the federal Status of the Artist Act and CAPPRT. The actors were John Van Burek (CAPPRT member) and Josée Dubois (CAPPRT Executive Director and General Counsel). Notes for the presentation were distributed to conference participants.
