![]() IC- SD Strategy 1997-Table of ContentsAmendments to the Auditor General Act require federal departments and agencies to prepare strategies for integrating sustainable development principles into their policies, programs and operations. These strategies will be evaluated by the Office of the Auditor General and updated every three years. Industry Canada's strategy was tabled on December 10, 1997. Industry Canada's Sustainable Development Strategy represents the department's efforts to build an increasingly comprehensive sustainable development agenda along with practical, incremental steps to achieve it.
