On November 2 and 3, 2004, Canada hosted the
Second Joint Ministerial Conference of the Paris
and Tokyo Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) on Port State Control (PSC) at the
Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in British Columbia. |
The theme of the Conference was "Strengthening the Circle of
Responsibility" and the event brought
together delegates representing the signatory countries of the two MOUs,
as well as several observer states and organizations, who are committed to
eliminating sub-standard shipping around the world. The First
Joint Ministerial Conference was held in March 1998. |
