Saskatoon:

Comes from misaskwatomin, name of the Saskatoon berry (Cree)
Nipawin: "Place where women and children waited for the men to come home from canoe treks". The name comes from the word nepowewin (Cree)
Kinistin: The name comes from Chief Kinitin, who was the first leader for the Kinistin Saulteaux Nation. The people of Kinistin are Cree and Saulteaux.
Wakaw: "Crooked" (Cree)
Waskesiu: "Elk" (Cree)
