Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must fully demonstrate in their application that they meet all of the minimum qualifications.

Education:

  • Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in an engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position or eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position

Experience:

Significant and recent experience in one or more of the following aeronautical engineering discipline related to the functions of the positions:

  • Project Management
  • Continuing Airworthiness
  • Delegations and Quality
  • Aircraft Structures
  • Avionics and Electrical Systems
  • Electronic Equipment Design Assurance
  • Fuel and Hydromechanical Systems
  • Occupant Safety and Environmental Systems
  • Powerplants and Emissions
  • Regulatory Standards

Citizenship:

Preference will be given to Canadian citizens. Job Functions:

Key activities are:

  • Implementing a National Audit Plan
  • Participating in audits of delegated organizations and individuals
  • Conducting national audits of air operators; and, Quality Assurance Reviews (QAR)
  • Providing specialist advice on delegation matters to other parts of the Government, the aviation industry, international agencies and the general public

The management and administration of the Ministerial Delegations of Authority Program and Quality Assurance Review Program of organizations and individuals in the aerospace industry that are involved in the design, manufacture, modification, operation and repair approval of aeronautical products for Transport Canada.

Senior Engineers (Delegation and Quality) at Transport Canada work within the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Safety and Security Group. The Civil Aviation headquarters directorate determines program contents, policy and standards, while the regions deliver the program.
