| Improving Efficiency of Spectrum Online Services |
Spectrum E-Services E-Commerce Delivery (SEED) is an ongoing initiative developed in response to Government On-Line. The initiative is being enhanced to improve service efficiency. A WebFAST prototype has been developed, and this will provide “joint service delivery”of our radiocommunication services. All Government On-Line completion activities were finalized in March 2006.

| Self-Marking of Terminal Equipment |
The self-marking of terminal equipment initiative began in 2003. It permits equipment manufacturers to mark their equipment themselves instead of obtaining labels from Industry Canada. Marking or labelling is a requirement under telecommunications regulations. The self-marking initiative provides manufacturers with the flexibility of marking or embossing their own equipment.

As of December 2004, Industry Canada ceased providing labels, and manufacturers have to mark the equipment themselves. |
