Welcome to the Web site of Indian Affairs and Northern Canada (INAC), Quebec
Regional Office. The site contains information on a wealth of topics relating
to the Aboriginal peoples of Quebec.
Although INAC's mission and objectives are similar from one
regional office to another, the economic, social and culture profile of our
Aboriginal partners
is diverse and worth discovering. Quebec is home to 11
Aboriginal nations,
and
it is through this diversity that our Department is called upon to fulfill
its mission: "Working together to
build a country more favourable to the development of the First Nations
and northern peoples."
We also invite you to discover our publications and multimedia.
These publications reflect the Department's commitment to increase public
awareness of Aboriginal realities, for the purpose of promoting better
mutual understanding.
Our site also includes links to other interesting sites, such as the Aboriginal
Canada Portal, which disseminates information from various federal
and provincial departments and ministries as well as private organizations,
and the Kids' Stop,
a highly popular site among teachers and their students, and more links.
To access
these sites, just click on the "Home page" icon on the tool
bar located at the top of each page".
We hope you enjoy your visit!
