Acrobat Reader and PDF Files
Some of the documents on this site are available in Adobe's portable document format (PDF).
This is a universal file format that allows you to read, print or download an on-line document
while maintaining the fonts, graphics and general layout of that document. To view a PDF document,
you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your system. Acrobat Reader is available for
free download from Adobe's Web site.
To view a PDF document on-line, click on the underlined link to the document. To return to this
site once you have finished viewing the document, click the button on your browser.
To download a PDF document to your workstation, follow these steps:
- Right-click on the underlined link to the document, and select the Save Link As option (for Netscape users) or the Save Target As option (for Internet Explorer users) from the drop-down menu.
- In the Save As dialog, select a location for the PDF file and click Save.
- The file will be saved to the location you have chosen.
Once you have downloaded the PDF file, you can then use Adobe Acrobat Reader to view it.
If you have any difficulty accessing the content of a document in PDF format, please contact
the CIPO Client Service Centre.
