CMAC Discussion Special Courses 

Intro: Draft syllabus

Courses:

  1. Basic Safety Training - see draft syllabus

    Training has already started in the Atlantic Region based a syllabus. There will be a five-year implementation period during which no enforcement action will be taken provided fishermen register for courses when they become available.

  2.  Basic Safety Training and Operator Proficiency

Applies to Group Four vessels, in sheltered waters less than 2 to 5 miles from shore.  This course that combines BST plus operator proficiency and is based on the draft syllabus.  Training will start this year and will relieve the pressure on the course providers for the MED F1 and MED A1.
