Postage Rates

The current postage rate is $0.80 per kilogram plus $0.75 per parcel for nutritious perishable food mailed to eligible communities in the provinces and territories. The rate charged for mailing perishable food from Inuvik to other communities in the Beaufort-Delta Region is $0.30 per kilogram plus $0.75 per parcel.

Non-perishable food and non-food items can be mailed to isolated communities in the northern parts of the provinces for $1.00 per kilogram. In the territories, the rate for these items is $2.15 per kilogram. An additional charge of $0.75 per parcel applies to all parcels, regardless of size, contents or destination.
