SUMMARY OF DEFICIENCIES
For the Year 1998

A total of 234 inspections were recorded.
146 Units or (62%) had one or more deficiencies distributed as follows:

75 deficiencies Stowage/Securing were found (in 32% of inspections).

 

64 deficiencies Placarding and marking were found (in 27% of inspections).

 

27 deficiencies Documentation were found (in 12% of inspections).

 

25 deficiencies Container Safety Convention (CSC) Safety Approval Plate were found (in 11% of inspections).

 

23 deficiencies Labeling (of packages) were found (in 10% of inspections).

 

10 deficiencies Packaging (inappropriate or damaged) were found (in 4% of inspections).

 

8 deficiencies Other were found (in 3% of inspections).
