Pierre has been with CANUTEC since August 2006. Prior to his employment with CANUTEC, he has worked as a representative for a industriel water treatment company.  He also worked as a lab technician in the environmental and pharmaceutical business.

 

Pierre obtained his B. Sc. in Chemistry from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2005.

 

His present responsibilities are shared between CANUTEC’s Emergency Centre and his personal research projects.  While in the Centre, he provides technical advice to emergency responders and coordinates response activities during chemical emergencies. His duties also include providing advice on the safe handling and transportation of dangerous goods according to applicable acts & regulations.


Pierre has successfully completed the NFPA 472 Awareness, Operations and  Technician level Hazardous Material Responseas as well as other courses and seminars related to chemical release and emergency response. Furthermore, he has completed the Inspector level course for the TDGR Clear Language (Canada).
