Nicolas
has been with CANUTEC since January, 2006. Prior to his employment with
CANUTEC, he has worked for AAFC’s
Eastern Cereal and Oilseed Research Center in the Bioproducts,
Bioprocesses and Bioinformatics group working on Fusarium infection of
wheat heads.
Nicolas
obtained his honors B.Sc. in Biochemistry and B. Ed. from the University of Ottawa
in 2004 and 2005.
His present
responsibilities are shared between CANUTEC’s Emergency Centre and his personal
research. While in the Centre, he provides technical advice to emergency responders and
coordinates response activities during chemical emergencies. His duties include providing
advice on the safe handling and transportation of dangerous goods according to applicable
acts & regulations.
