Terms and Conditions of Use

Access to and use of Canada Aviation Museum web pages, image files and data are subject to the following terms and conditions:

Image files from the Canada Aviation Museum (CAvM) web site are made available for non-commercial, personal use only. Commercial publication or use of CAvM images, graphics or html files on any web site (personal, commercial, academic, etc…) is specifically prohibited without prior written consent of CAvM.

Users may request image files for their own non-commercial use, subject to any additional terms or restrictions which may be provided with the individual file or program. Users may NOT reproduce or permit others to reproduce CAvM images, graphics or html files for commercial or personal gain without prior written consent of CAvM. Permissions for use are for one time use only and reproductions may not be made without written permission from the Canada Aviation Museum.

Certain works held and managed by the CAvM are protected under copyright and are intended for non-commercial use only. Permission for commercial use will be determined on a case by case basis depending on the particular ownership and copyright holder. The Canada Aviation Museum can only grant permission for usage of material to which it controls the copyright, ALL other permissions for use must be ascertained by the applicant for all materials requested. It is not the role of the CAvM to interpret the Copyright Act for the users of the material. The user must accept responsibility for determining any and all copyright obligations pertaining to the images/materials requested.

CAvM Owned and/or Copyright Canada Aviation Museum materials:

All Canada Aviation Museum web pages and content are copyright Canada Aviation Museum. All banners, icons, logos and original graphics on the Canada Aviation Museum web site are also copyright Canada Aviation Museum and may not be used for any purpose.

Images on the Canada Aviation Museum web are the property of the Canada Aviation Museum. Permission for use of such images may be obtained, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Use.

ALL images on the Canada Aviation Museum web site of artifacts belonging to the Museum are property of the Canada Aviation Museum.

The Canada Aviation Museum reserves the right to decline the use of images and material that it deems violates copyright law, or may offend persons pictured in the photographs, their relatives, photographer, or donor.

The images and materials provided are for one-time-use only and any subsequent use must be authorized by the Canada Aviation Museum. Fees may apply when the images or materials are provided for personal, educational or commercial use. All images or material must be accompanied by the following credit line when used for publication in any and all media.
