Unclaimed Dividends Search Service

Registration

  1. Q. Do I need to register with Strategis again if I already have a username and password for the On-line Insolvency Name Search Service?

    A. No, you need only register with Strategis once. Use the same username and password for both the On-line Insolvency Name Search Service and the On-line Unclaimed Dividends Search Service.

Searches

  1. Q. Who can I contact to inquire about the years prior to 1994, since the On-line Unclaimed Dividends Search Service only includes unclaimed dividends from the year 1994?

    A. To search for any unclaimed dividends prior to 1994, please write a letter to us including the estate ID of the bankruptcy, and your Proof of Claim. Our office will conduct a search for you. You may address your letter to:

Making Claims

  1. Q. I have more than one claim to file, can I fill out one affidavit for more than one claim?

    A. Yes, you may fill out one affidavit to cover more than one claim. Please refer to the instructions on our "Making a Claim" screen for additional information.

  2. Q. Do I need to send the original copy of my claim? And to whom?

    A. A copy of your Proof of Claim is acceptable. Please refer to the instructions on our "Making a Claim" screen. It outlines all of the documents you need to file your claim, as well as who to send them to.

  3. Q. What if I can not find my claim to prove that I am the rightful creditor?

    A. You may send a copy of your Proof of Claim, or a copy of the Notice of Bankruptcy and first meeting of creditors as provided by the trustee. Please refer to the instructions on our "Making a Claim" screen. It will outline all of the documents required to file your claim. Always try to provide as much supporting documents as possible when filing your claim.

General

  1. Q. If I am a creditor who has never moved and has always had the same address, why wasn’t I advised by my trustee that I had an unclaimed dividend?

    A.Your trustee will have attempted to contact you; where they have been unsuccessful, they will forward the unclaimed dividend to our office.
