We have outlined our mandate, defined the long-term outcomes
that form the basis of our plan, and examined the business environment that
provides the context for what we are trying to achieve in Transport
Canada’s safety and security groups. The plan has defined a set of
objectives that will contribute to fulfilling our mandate and against which we
will measure our effect on transportation safety. We have also defined the
strategies that will help us achieve these outcomes.
This plan will serve as the foundation upon which the service
lines and programs that comprise safety and security at Transport Canada will
plan and report. Operational, business and work plans will link directly with
the objectives and strategies defined in this document.
