CIPO at the Canada-Wide Science Fair

In May 2006, CIPO attended the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Saguenay, Quebec, where some 450 promising young scientists showed off their innovative projects. David Boudreau, a CIPO Patent Examiner and former science fair participant, delivered a presentation on patents and the role of examiners. Staff of the CIPO kiosk interacted with parents and students and distributed educational material on the benefits of IP and how to protect inventions.

The highlight of the fair was definitely meeting and interviewing some of the participants. Now you can too!

CIPO, in collaboration with the Youth Science Foundation Canada, produced video clips featuring interview footage of participants sharing their science fair insights. Here's what they said about their experiences.
