About Canadian Industry StatisticsCanadian Industry Statistics presents industry trends on topics such as establishments, gross domestic product, and international trade for the sectors of the Canadian Economy using the latest annual data from Statistics Canada. The industries are defined according to the Canadian implementation of the 2002 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). The purpose of the Canadian Industry Statistics site is threefold. First, it is designed to help small to medium sized businesses and their agents understand the dynamics of their industries and help them make better informed businesses decisions. This can be done by focussing on a single industry over time or comparatively by examining one industry in light of another.
