The Transportation Development Centre (TDC)
is Transport Canada's research arm. Working closely with contractors, TDC staff manage the
technical aspects of each project, control finances and evaluate progress. They also
ensure that the end products of the program - technical data and research reports,
equipment designs, laboratory hardware, computer software and prototype transportation

pipeline occurrences in order to make findings as to their causes and contributing

roads, as well as accidents involving off road vehicles. Using contracted teams of
specialists based at universities across Canada, Transport Canada's Road Safety and Motor
