The mandate of the Aviation Learning Services Branch is to efficiently and effectively provide the best possible learning products for Civil Aviation employees of Transport Canada and the aviation community.

Aviation Learning Services is responsible for:

• the design,development and delivery of basic, advanced, and refresher training for Civil Aviation employees.

The Branch is increasingly involved in delivering training and providing learning services to external clients including:

• foreign aviation authorities,
• other government agencies and;
• Ministerial delegates.

Aviation Learning Services is also responsible for the maintaining of the Civil Aviation Training Information System (CATIS), a computerized record-keeping system.
